Bronze Statue of Minnie Pearl
A home town fan of Grand Ole Opry star Minnie Pearl had a bronze statue built in her honor in 2005, then got mad and moved it to another town in 2009, then to a winery in 2010, then to another state in 2011.

Minnie Pearl Statue Minnie Pearl's statue has fled across state lines. Her owner, Rod Harris, made the statue to inspire young people in Minnie's home town of Centerville, Tennessee. But after several years the town wanted to move the statue, and Rod disagreed. He eventually ended up trucking Minnie to a hotel lobby in another town, then to a nearby winery, and now he's taken her 100 miles northwest into Kentucky. The statue currently occupies a prominent spot in the main room of the Wrather West Kentucky Museum -- although Rod has reserved the right to move her again whenever he wants to.

Minnie Pearl Statue The Minnie Pearl Statue, previously on the Square in Centerville, TN, was moved to Linden, TN. The City of Centerville had changed the statue position in order to re-route the traffic and increase parking around the Square. Rod Harris, the man who donated the money didn't like where it was placed, so he loaded it onto a truck and took it. Minnie has been on R and R at the Commodore Hotel in Linden since 2009.

Hee Haw star Minnie Pearl has abruptly moved from downtown Centerville to a hotel in Linden, TN. Rod Harris, who led the effort to create and erect the statue in 2004, is battling the town, which wants to rearrange the statue's position in Centerville to make way for renovations. The statue was funded with the proviso that is would never move from its perch in Centerville.
