Minnie Pearl Statue

Minnie Pearl's statue has fled across state lines. Her owner, Rod Harris, made the statue to inspire young people in Minnie's home town of Centerville, Tennessee. But after several years the town wanted to move the statue, and Rod disagreed. He eventually ended up trucking Minnie to a hotel lobby in another town, then to a nearby winery, and now he's taken her 100 miles northwest into Kentucky. The statue currently occupies a prominent spot in the main room of the Wrather West Kentucky Museum -- although Rod has reserved the right to move her again whenever he wants to. Rod Harris, the man who donated the money didn't like where it was placed, so he loaded it onto a truck and took it. Minnie has been on R and R at the Commodore Hotel in Linden since 2009.
