Don't be afraid to walk over the swinging bridge. It's great! Signs in town point you right to it. Easy to find.

Kansas's Oldest Swinging Bridge

I checked-out this foot bridge just after sunset. It is old and it does swing and it does creak and squeak. Loudly. Halfway across I was absolutely sure that every dog in town was barking.

Perhaps it should be called "Kansas' Loudest Swinging Bridge." Not for the stealthy.

Built in 1904 and still in use. The oldest suspension bridge in Kansas can be seen at 5th and Biddle Streets in Moline. The creek running under it has several waterfalls. There is even a cafe named after it on Main street.

Kansas' Oldest Swinging Bridge

Built in July 1904, the oldest swinging bridge in Kansas. People can still walk across it. It is maintained regularly by the city. The creek boasts some small waterfalls and it's quite picturesque. There were several children playing in the water there. Moline even has a swinging bridge cafe with homemade food that is really good.
