Muffler Man - The Big Man

The " Big Man" as we affectionately refer to him is owned by my parents, Donald and Judy Whitman and he resides at Green Valley Equipment at the corner of Route 43 and Brodie Mt. Road. His hands are in the standard muffler man position and he had been holding a pitchfork. Green Valley Equipment (which is a farm machinery dealership) purchased the "Big Man" years ago after he had a very eventful life. He had been shot, stolen by college students and had spent some hard time at the local nudist camp. [Kathy Whitman, 01/19/1999]

There is a Muffler Man on Route 43 in Hancock, Mass. outside of a farm equipment shop. It's definitely a Muffler Man. . . about 20 feet tall, hands in the classic position. He's "wearing" jeans and a t-shirt that reads "Green Valley Equipment Company." He's been there for years. I never thought much of him until I visited your site. [Kim Gorman, 12/02/1997]
