Belton, Texas - Artistic Blimpies mural -- eat under a bucking bronco Inside the Blimpies (sandwich shop) eating area is a great mural on the ceiling. The effect is that you are looking up through the bottom of the rodeo. The feet of a horse and legs of a cowboy are hanging down for a 3-D effect. Many (close to 50, I would guess) famous figures are seated around the rodeo - the fun is sitting and identifying the people as you eat your sandwich. You don't have to buy a sandwich to view the mural. Lots of fun for kids AND grownups, and a good place to stop between Dallas and Austin. More fun than any other gas station I've been to, anyway.

Address: Belton, TX
Directions: On Hwy 35 south of Temple, TX and just north of Belton. The Blimpies is on the side of the highway at the Belton exit, inside a gas station. I believe it is the west side of the highway.
