Live! Lady Bugs for sale
"Live! Lady Bugs" are advertised on a weird clot of signs, wall murals, and a bug-decorated Ford pickup along a busy highway south of Seattle's Ballard Bridge. One sign promotes "100 Ladybugs, $5 Bucks." A couple of low brick buildings, no one around when we pulled over, but apparently it's the studio of one Buddy Foley.
On his web site, buddyfoley.com, musician and artist Buddy says: "For quite a few years now I have been selling Ladybugs and helping people take care of their gardens organically. Did you know there are 147 different kinds of ladybugs? Ask me about these sometime."
Buddy advertises that the Buddy Foley Experimental Orchestra is "Available for parties, gatherings, soirees, bar mitzvahs, raves, conventions, or anywhere you need a keyboard player. Buddy can perform many styles and adapts to merge with the venue. Once you hear Buddy's music you will recognize it in TV soundtracks."
