Abundant Memories Heritage Village is a labor of love by a patriotic family who enjoys sharing their gigantic collection of antiques and knowledge of the history of America. Apparently descended from the Pennsylvania Dutch Amish and Mennonite communities, they have reconstructed an entire village and acquired furniture, military uniforms, toys, dishes, farm equipment, and collectibles of all kinds. The owner, whose nickname is "Quake," is teacher, actor, comedian, and Christian who gives a two-hour historical presentation daily, reminding visitors of the unique beginnings of the American democratic system. There is not one boring moment, as he entertains people on four stages, each dressed to represent a particular period of the nation's history. This man is a walking encyclopedia and I wish everyone could hear him.
