Emmons, New York - Non-Infringing Dog Tribute This is NOT in response to the death of a pet. Originally, shortly after I-88 was completed and open to traffic in that area, the owner of the barn painted an
image of Snoopy, from the Peanuts comic strip. It was there for several years (during the mid to late 1980's) until it was written up in a newspaper.
[King Features Syndicate] proceeded to sue the owner of the barn for copyright infringement. Unfortunately, the barn owner lost and had to remove the image of Snoopy.

Emmons, New York - Non-Infringing Dog Tribute My favorite
pet monument can be seen when travelling east on Interstate 88 the great boondoggle road running between Albany, NY and Binghamton, NY. Immediately after the Emmons and Davenport exit, if you look to the far left, there is a barn painted in bright colors, with a shooting star (with colored tail), with the saying
Doggone! <birth> - <death>. A true, heartfelt classic. Not to be missed. <
