The Big Duck

Cute store inside with big duck gifts. The man who runs it is nice! On holiday weekends they stay open a little later.

The Big Duck

The Big Duck is a great photo opportunity. My grand-kids loved getting a picture at the duck's butt. There's a large field to run around. Fun to read about the Duck's history.

The Big Duck

In addition to souvenirs, The Big Duck has old photographs and other material related to its history. There is now an additional exhibit on duck farming in the barn on the grounds, but it is only open occasionally, usually during special events, and on weekends in the summer.

[Janice Jay Young, 01/22/2016]

People sometimes don't realize that duck farming was the reason why The Big Duck was built.

The Big Duck

The public bathrooms are almost done at The Big Duck! They will be housed in the small stucco building right next to the duck. This building was recently restored, thanks to the Friends of The Big Duck, who were just appointed the officials stewarts of Big Duck Ranch.

[Janice Jay Young, 09/11/2012]

The Big Duck has been an attraction since 1931, so we can probably hold out for the bathrooms a little while longer.
