Bell Tower.

Niewoehner Bell Tower

Stopped by to see this amazing RA site and we so wanted to ring the bells. But out of respect, and following the sign, they said "Please ask before ringing" so we didn't ring them. It was a Sunday morning and the town seemed pretty quiet. Either everyone was sleeping or in church we figured.

Bell Tower.

Niewoehner Bell Tower

The bell tower is located between a funeral home and a former church, now an embroidery shop. Bells will only be rung by the owner if a book about the bells is purchased (cost $5). Apparently visitors were ringing the bells at inconvenient times (late at night, during funerals, etc.).

There is a single bell on another "tower" a few feet to the right.

Those dang bells could wake the dead!

Niewoehner Bell Tower

30 ft high, 15-bell tower. Very cool. And they work. Each bell has a line to the ground so you can ring them. They are very loud. Even if you aren't trying to be. Sandwiched between a church and funeral home. My 15 yr old daughter even enjoyed this one. Should see it, or at least ring it.

Niewoehner Bell Tower

A local funeral home owner recently constructed a 30-foot tower with 15 bells from all over that he collected over the years. They are rung on Sunday mornings and for special occasions. Each one has a story, and you can get a book detailing the origin of just about every one of the bells.
