Stonehenge Replica (Private)

This Stonehenge replica was conceived by Jonathan Rothberg and sits on his 11 acres of property. Rothberg paid sculptor Darrell Petit to build this replica out of over 700 tons of Norwegian Blue Pearl Fjord granite. My photographs are from the edge of the long, winding road that brings you to the edge of Long Island Sound; I caught it around dusk. It is private property and you will need to make a three-point turn to leave. Please respect the owner's wishes of no trespassing.

Stonehenge Replica - Private

In Sachem Head, not far from the Thimbles, on or near Uncas Road, is a very large replica of Stonehenge, on private property. Recently hewn stone, clearly astrologically aligned. The area is surrounded by radiating paths, lined with trees.
