Shoe Tree

I was driving down Route 66 today, in between Stroud and Bristow, OK, and the Shoe Tree has fallen down. It is still laying where it fell. Was sad to see it had fallen over, because a week before today I was going to take a picture and didn't. I went back to show my cousin and it was laying on the ground. [Stephanie, 09/29/2010]

Route 66 Shoe Tree. Shoe Tree

The Route 66 Shoe tree was awesome. I've never seen a shoe tree before, so when we were driving by I had to slam on my brakes and turn around. I thought it was so neat! [April Kustanborter, 09/24/2010]

Shoe Tree

Would prefer to call this a "shoe exchange"... a little further out of town than we would have thought. Nevertheless, clearly visible. There is a store/trading post on the hill next to this attraction.

This shoe exchange seemed to be a surefire way to attract customers; however, we were not brave enough to enter. [Heather and Eric, 01/07/2010]

[RA: Love the hand-painted sign with Route 66 branding (in case you forgot you were on Route 66, or were in danger of ending up at a shoe tree not on Route 66).]
