Big Indian
Across the street from the Pink Elephant with the Martini Glass is a well maintained Giant Indian. His hand is out in a salute. I drove my car under him and it appears he is blessing my car!
It is at a gas station across the street from the abandoned antique mall and unloved Pink Elephant. Quite the contrast between the two!

He's looking great, even at night. He's huge!
[Buzz, 02/03/2010]Muffler Man - Indian
Passed through Cross Plains, Tennessee, and my family and I am happy to report that the Indian Muffler Man has been repaired and looks great. A cashier at Sad Sam's said he was fixed about 3 months ago following a storm. His arm was broken off and stolen. However, he now has a new arm, plus what appears to be a new paint job. He is no longer on a high concrete block, but is standing on the ground and surrounded by a knee-high metal fence.
[Chris Kee, 07/23/2009]The Muffler Man Indian is no longer there. He broke off at the legs and fell. As of 2/18/09 they removed him from the site.
[Kristine, 02/19/2009]The Indian has fallen, looks like he broke at the bottom of his legs; also his arms are missing. Not sure what happened, but my guess is a storm got them.

March 2009: We've been told that the Indian was blown over in a storm, and that repairs will be underway once molds and moldmakers are found. Unfortunately, while he was down someone stole the "broken off upright arm."
