Hammond, Indiana - Live Gospel Music McDonald's

After a complete renovation, franchise owner Doris Boulrece reopened this McDonald's in December, 2002. The new McDonald's features a stage for visiting gospel groups and other entertainers to perform. There are stained glass windows, silk flowers, crystal light fixtures, checkers and chess sets built into the dining area tables. Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings church groups are invited to sing, dancers perform, or poets can read their work to interested diners. [Keith Poole, 12/05/2004]
