Glendale, California - Leslie Brand Family Cemetery and Pyramid Brand family Cemetery, located in foothills up a trail. Family cemetery with 20 or more graves; Leslie Brand's grave has a large pyramid on it. The area is surrounded by a chain link fence and is shaded by trees and very spooky in appearance. It is a little hard to find and requires a walk of a mile or so to get to it. It is in a somewhat remote area. When I was a kid we would hike up to the cemetery, climb the fence and look at the graves. One of the children's graves is marked by a statue of a little lamb. The property and home of Leslie Brand was donated to the city of Glendale, and the city now takes care of the graveyard.
The library, the former house of Leslie Brand, is supposedly haunted by a moaning presence. [Bogart Hawley, 01/19/2005]
