The third bridge that was on Nichols is no longer there. Trees have overgrown it, but the first and second bridges are still there.

A third squirrel bridge was built in Longview in early 2013. The bridge is on Nichols Blvd directly across from R.A. Long High School. I needed a bridge just to take photographs from the center of the street, so I know that the squirrels must need one, holy cow! Retired attorney John Dick of Longview designed the bridge but passed away before he could see it installed. The bridge is dedicated to John Dick.

A second squirrel bridge was built in Longview in 2011 in honor of murder victim Bruce Kamp. The bridge is on the 1300 block of Kessler Blvd, almost parallel to a third bridge on the other side of Lake Sacajawea Park, and across from R.A. Long High School.
[Charlotte Briones, 07/13/2013]There is now a 2nd squirrel bridge in Longview, located on Kessler Blvd. A 3rd bridge design has been approved and the model will be revealed during the 2012 Squirrel Festival on August 25th.
