Sikeston, Missouri: Lambert's, Home of the Throwed Rolls

Interactive eating with dinnertime roll-pelting. Waiters, with mobile carts of hot buns, are fairly precise as they hurl bread to you from across the dining room.

We were traveling with our 4 boys aged 14, 11, 6, and 2, and let me tell you...it's rare to find a place everyone likes. We hit the jackpot here. Many, many, spectacular photo ops, fun/friendly staff, and yes, the roll throwing was a hit with the boys (they are warm and delicious by the way).

Be sure to go hungry! You get plenty to eat when you order, and then they keep coming around with "sides" of fried okra, fried potatoes, black eyed peas, macaroni and tomatoes, sorghum and the limitless rolls that they throw at you! They don't take credit cards, just cash and your check from anywhere. It was a fun place to go... Don't miss it!

Stick with appetizers and eat the pass arounds to save money. They don't accept credit cards.

If you go there expecting to be pelted by hot rolls, you have to buy something.
