Gravity Hill mark.

Gravity Hill

There is a yellow marker painted on the road near the bridge to mark the starting point for the gravity effect.

[Linda McEvoy, 09/11/2023]

A number of Gravity Hills across the country have been similarly delineated, likely by earlier anti-gravity pilgrims.

Gravity Hill

If you are heading west, stop your car before you get to the bridge. There should be a yellow mark in the center of the road (the bridge will be about 150 ft. in front of you). Put your car in neutral and it will roll uphill backwards, all the way up the hill! So cool. Watch for traffic and don't get discouraged it took us a few times to find the exact location to stop the car!

I did not see any markers. I came on my motorcycle and sat in neutral but did not go up hill.

Gravity Hill

At first we passed it, then I found the white metal rod and parked next to it. We put the car in neutral and went forwards maybe about 50 feet. It went very slowly, though. Then we turned around and went backwards up the hill.

My grandson had heard of this so we went to try it out. It was really amazing. Your head is telling you it shouldn't be, but your car is rolling up the hill! Next time I plan on bringing a compass, to see if it has any effect, and plug in the GPS to see if it affects coordinates. It was fun. Worth the trip.
