Velociraptor Tracks, Eggs, And Fossils

We were greeted by a Navajo man, Andrew, who didn't pressure us for a tip/donation and assured us the $20 we had was fine. He took us through the short walk highlighting the archeological finds and had some specifics about the fossils and tracks.

The dinosaur tracks are real, but the dino eggs and poop are not really fossilized poop or eggs -- they are iron concretions on the sandstone, also called Mokie Marbles. Super cool but not eggs/poop. T. rex also did not live during the era this sandstone was formed; the skeleton is in fact cool weathered sandstone.

Awesome photos and sights! FYI The stuff for sale was the same as we saw at Four Corners.

Got there early. Guide was very informative, nice and helpful. Bought some jewelry, beautiful and affordable.

People were asking for donations prior to us getting out of car. We decided to skip.

We gave a $10 tip and bought two pairs of earrings, and our guide was happy with that. She was very informative.
