Road Trip Camera Tips
Six Techniques That Could Make Your Small Wonders Videos Even More Wonderful
By the Editors at RoadsideAmerica.com
We're always looking for ways to reduce the load of equipment we lug around on road trips. So we tried out the RCA Small Wonder™ digital camcorder on a couple of recent outings, and devised some simple-but-creative shooting techniques that might be difficult or impossible with a heavier, larger video camera.
For normal video recording, we found the Small Wonder especially useful for capturing
moments we might otherwise miss. We mostly
ran around
with the little camcorder tucked in a shirt pocket. We tried it in various
shooting situations typical on our trips, such as while driving, on guided
tours, or at the base of huge
statues.
We left the camcorder by itself -- recording -- in the most haunted room in Villisca, Iowa's Ax Murder House (We still haven't looked at that footage).
Here are our six favorite no-budget techniques for capturing something extra special with your RCA Small Wonder digital camcorder (no promise these ideas would help you in any way when it comes to the RCA Small Wonders of America Contest.):
