Video: Silver Mine Tour Under Tombstone
Tombstone, Arizona
The "Good Enough" Mine was a just-opened attraction under Tombstone in March 2007. When we stumbled out of the darkened Historama Theater, blinking at the morning sun, dusty street corners were already crowded with fake cowboys and fake prostitutes.
One yellow-toothed grizzler was quick to thrust a flyer in our faces and point us in the general direction of the Good Enough Mine -- tours leaving in just a few minutes.
This brief video heads down into the old silver mine with the attraction's knowledgeable owner and tour guide. Note the special red panic markings on outcroppings, which ward off skull fractures for tall persons, except perhaps those who take the entire tour while looking through a camera lens. [1:16]
