Quirky Tourist Attractions in or near Pennsylvania
While in Pennsylvania, you might enjoy a visit to:
Reworking of the town's old Hershey Museum. The focus is on Milton S. Hershey, his model town and school -- with less emphasis on the chocolate. One artifact of note: the check Hershey wrote for his ticket on the Titanic. His wife got sick so they cancelled their trip.
If you like horses, and you like 'em tiny, you'll like the Land of Little Horses.
Ernest Helm built a town in miniature -- for his cats. His family now maintains the complex of tiny buildings, and decorates them with lights for the Christmas holiday season. Ernest passed away in Oct. 2015.
American saint entombed in an altar, but not on display. "Walk Meditatively," instructs the brochure.
