Honolulu, Hawaii Attractions

Unusual landmarks, museums, roadside attractions, and hidden wonders in Honolulu and the surrounding area.

Most tourists travel to Honolulu for the sea, the sylvan breezes, and the springlike weather. But even paradise can get boring, so we're grateful that O'ahu has its share of quirkiness as well, including statues of Elvis and Jack "Hawaii 5-O" Lord, a famous blowhole, and on the north side of the island, the huge Polynesian Cultural Center, with Tiki heads and hula dancers. Pearl Harbor is the hub for military and World War II landmarks and museums, but in a less violent competition can be appreciated at the grave of the inventor of baseball.
