San Antonio, Texas Attractions
Unusual landmarks, museums, roadside attractions, and hidden wonders in San Antonio and the surrounding area.
San Antonio is best known as the home of The Alamo, revered as a shrine to American heroism and Manifest Destiny even though all of its gun-toting defenders ended up as ashes in a casket elsewhere in the city. Pee Wee Herman visited San Antonio looking for the Alamo's basement (and was disappointed) but he was unaware of the city's many other highlights, including the Buckhorn Saloon, the sculptures of the late Bob "Daddy-O" Wade, and the World's Largest Cowboy Boots.
