What You Like: Princess Di Dress Debuts at Franklin Mint Museum

In honor of Princess Diana 'Queen of Hearts', the Franklin Mint Museum is pleased to announce the unveiling and installation of the famous Princess Diana gown at The Franklin Mint Museum on Valentines Day, Feb. 14, 1998. The strapless white sheath dress and bolero jacket, embroidered with 20,000 simulated pearls and white sequins, was purchased for $151k by Lynda Resnick, vice chairman of The Franklin Mint, at Christie's auction in June 1997.

In keeping with the late Princess Diana's selfless call to humanity, the selfless Franklin Mint has committed one and a half million dollars to charity from the sales of Franklin Mint Princess Diana products. These items include 16" fine porcelain portrait dolls - one in which the white beaded gown is duplicated in miniature size - plates, and jewelry.

The Franklin Mint is the world's leading direct response marketer of fine quality collectibles and personal luxury products.
