Memorial to Victims at Oklahoma Bomb Site

A monument and education center is planned to commemorate the victims of Oklahoma City's terrorist bombing on April 19,1995. The Oklahoma City National Memorial will cost $24.1 million and will include a symbolic outdoor memorial, memorial center, interactive learning center and the Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism and Violence.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held on Sunday. While there are several other US-based memorials to the victims of terrorism (commemorating downed airliner fatalities), the Oklahoma City project is by far the largest.
