No Pyramids In The Peach State - For Now

County commissioners have rejected a request to build an Egyptian-themed nightclub and convenience store on 40 acres of agricultural land outside Eatonton, GA.

The United Nuwaubian Nation initially proposed an Egyptian-style theme park. But the commissioners refused that as well, claiming that they could never get a clear answer from the Nuwaubians - a fraternal organization - about how the development would affect the largely rural area.

Update: They built the Egyptian theme park after all -- at least for private use by their members.
