Allman Brothers fans attempt to party with dead idols
A Reuters report from Macon, Georgia, complains music fans are attempting to party with a couple of dead Allman Brothers. The graves of Berry Oakley and Duane Allman at Rose Hill Cemetery have been vandalized repeatedly. Statues have been stolen, monuments defaced, and people regularly have sex on the grave of these country rock heroes. A couple of zealots even dug a tunnel in an attempt to steal a body. If the desecrations continue, the families may opt to move them to a private cemetery...

- Rose Hill Cemetery. I-16 exits 1A or IB. Drive across the river and turn right onto Riverside Drive. The cemetery will come up quickly on the right. The graves are back by the train tracks; a sign on the door of the cemetery office gives directions to the Allman graves.
