Kahiki Restaurant replaced by Walgreens
The Polynesian-themed Kahiki restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, may be sold by the owner. The new owners would likely demolish the giant Easter Island heads, cave entrance, and grass hut dining areas to make way for a Walgreens. While Tiki signage and restaurants still abound across the nation, immersive Polynesian experiences are in decline (which we trace to the fall of FL's Tiki Gardens to developers in the late 1980s).
