Dale Earnhardt statue attracts fans on crash anniversary

Fans paid tribute to fallen NASCAR hero Dale Earnhardt on the one-year anniversary of his fatal wall crash in the Daytona 500. A nine-foot tall bronze statue of the late driver was erected outside Daytona USA last week. Visitors snapped pictures, and placed flowers and money at Earnhardt's feet.

More fans flocked to remember the man at the Dale Earnhardt Museum in Mooresville, NC, holding a candlelight vigil on February 18, the anniversary of his death.
