Santa Claus statue finds refuge in vacant lot

Carpinteria, California's fat Santa statue may have a new home. After barely surviving the destruction of Santa Claus Lane by developers last year, the 20-ft. tall plaster Santa will be displayed in a vacant lot next to a mobile home park in Nyeland Acres. The statue should be visible off Highway 101 between Camarillo and Oxnard. 2801 Ventura Blvd. between Rice Road and Del Norte exits.
