New home for Paul Bunyan plans May Grand Opening

Fans of the now closed Paul Bunyan Amusement Center in Brainerd, Minnesota will be pleased with news that all of the attraction's assets have found a new home at the nearby This Old Farm attraction.

According to Adam Rademacher, a member of the family that bought the Paul Bunyan Amusement Center from the McFarland Family: "We got everything from the park -- not only Paul, but all the buildings, Babe the Blue Ox, Sport the Dog, the squirrel, everything."

Regarding This Old Farm, Adam makes the point: "I just wanted to let everyone know that our existing business is not an agricultural tourist spot. It is a pioneer village from the 1800s to early 1900s. We have over 30 buildings and other attractions on the side of the pioneer village, and this Paul Bunyan Land is just an addition to our family business."

They are in the process of rebuilding the Bunyan attraction on This Old Farm property, and plan for a grand opening on May 29, 2004.
