This is a store on South Virginia Street in Reno, NV; The "Carpeteria" (gotta love the name). It's a giant genie, possibly shopping around for a new magic carpet...
[Peggy Clydesdale, 02/18/2005]Part of a chain. The earlier stores in California sometimes featured larger, more complete genie statues -- with faces on either side. A decommissioned pair were recently shipped to the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Most of these 2-sided, 2-faced genies have disappeared after their stores went out of business or moved. They can be still found in the west; the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, OH has excellent specimens as well.
