- Branson, Missouri - Concrete Pink Gorilla
Was unable to locate the pink gorilla anywhere when I visited Branson earlier this month. Drove up and down Hwy 76 several times in attempts to find him... No such luck.

[Jillian, 03/21/2011]- Branson, Missouri - Pair of Huge Concrete Gorillas
Two huge concrete gorilla statues stand outside Dickens Gift Shoppe in Branson. I often see people put their kids on the backs of the apes to take photos. As if that's not enough, you can also find shelves of garden gnomes inside.
[Lisa Land, 01/12/2003] - Branson, Missouri - Tony Melendez - Guitarist with No Arms
Maybe you were looking for good old fashioned entertainment, but when you opted to see a man playing two pianos [at once] over Tony Melendez, the armless man who plays the guitar with his feet, you lost. Tony doesn't just play the guitar, he has mastered his art, playing better than many with both arms and all 10 digits. He plays with virtuosity, not like a freak in a side show, and he has a testimony of courage to go with it. He played for Pope John Paul II and has done several CDs. He is not to be overlooked a second time.
[Tom Thomas, 04/13/2005]February 2009: Tony still lives in the area, but currently isn't doing a regular theater gig in Branson. The man playing two pianos at once has died. Come back Tony!
Tony Melendez - Guitarist with No Arms:- Directions:
- Tony Melendez Show, "A Gift of Hope," IMAX Entertainment complex.
- Hours:
- No longer a performance regular.
