World of Coca-Cola has plans for big expansion
An expansion plan is underway that will double the size of the World of Coca Cola by 2006 (the attraction, not the company's market share). Atlanta, Georgia's popular destination promises more changing exhibits, interactive experiences, and presentation gimmicks to wake up a thrill-jaded public. While the museum will undergo a complete revamping, classics like the Tastes of the World will be kept and updated (with even more wacky foreign beverages).
April 2005: The Atlanta Development Authority will kick in up to $5.4 million to help Coca Cola expand its museum, scheduled to open in April of 2007.

- Atlanta, Georgia - Pagan Storyteller: Buck Man
I just called the fishing supply store across from the park and the guy who answered said the deer-headed man has been gone for a year. The new park is done.
[wishdog, 03/15/2016]The park was officially reopened in April 2015. Its $2.5 million redevelopment was paid for by a local property owner and -- surprise -- the statue of the deer-headed man was replaced with a statue of the property owner.
- Atlanta, Georgia - Pagan Storyteller
The park where the Storyteller sat is currently under construction. He is not there. I am not sure if they plan to bring him back into the park after they finish. Construction started a couple of months ago.
[AngL, 06/14/2014]We've seen concept drawings for the new park, and the Pagan Storyteller statue is included. Mar. 2105: Completion has been delayed -- the sculptures are still missing, but later spring 2015 seems like a possibility.
Definitely worth a stop if you're in Atlanta -- and with the Centers for Disease Control Museum there, why wouldn't you be? Beautiful and adorable statues!
[Lauren Adasiak Cocilova, 01/26/2014]Off-season is a good time to commune with the Pagan Storyteller, while the fountain water is turned off.

Buck Man was originally posed as if telling stories to woodland creatures, but they were given away to rich people by the son of the rich man who kicked Buck Man out of the park. Now Buck Man's audience is just a couple of dogs.
