World's Largest Bat - The Vampire Kind
Louisville, Kentucky
Kentucky is famous for its commercial caves, and Louisville is famous for its baseball bats, so the appearance in Louisville of this titanic bloodsucker seems perfectly reasonable.
The bat's black silhouette stands out against the red brick exterior of Caufield's Novelty, a rubber mask and holiday decoration factory and supply store started over 80 years ago. It's only three blocks away from the better-known World's Largest Baseball Bat, so it's easily seen by visitors searching for a parking space. The leathery leviathan hangs earthward along what appears to be an electrical conduit, so its bulging red eyes were probably designed to light up at night.
