Thermopolis, Wyoming

The exterior Days Inn wrapper may deceive, but this is worth a stop and peek. Mounted animals cover the halls, walls and every surface of the restaurant and bar. The free postcards are captioned: "For a truly unique and enjoyable expereince, dine and drink among our collection of big game trophies. This private collection contains trophies from Africa, Australia, new Zealand, Canada, Alaska, and the United States." A giant bear menaces at the restaurant entrance. Over the bar, a mountain lion leaps onto the back of an unsuspecting elk.

On the road in, there are a couple of big hay bale concretions from the hot springs.
