M&M's World and World's Largest Coke Bottle
Las Vegas, Nevada
M&M's World is a gift shop desperately posing as an attraction. There's a small theater with a 3-D animated M&Ms movie, and on the fourth floor there's a replica of the M&M's NASCAR race car, but in-between is nothing but 28,000 square feet of M&M's jackets, mugs, t-shirts, etc.
The Coca-Cola Store stands next door. On the outside is an impressive giant glass coke bottle set into the front of the building -- probably 50 ft. tall. Inside are shelves filled with Coca-cola branded merchandise -- the same items you would find at Atlanta's World of Coca-Cola attraction.
There's a soda fountain on the second floor, and a free opportunity to get your picture taken with the 7-foot tall Coca-Cola polar bear.
The giant bottle originally supported a more elaborate brand project -- a Coke museum called "World of Coca Cola West," mirroring many of the soft drink historical exhibits popular in Atlanta. It opened in 1997 and closed by 2000, replaced by a full-time Coca-Cola Store.
