Uniroyal Gal - Tornadoes Cheerleader

Field review by the editors.

Lamesa, Texas

A rare Uniroyal Gal figure, with her signature 1960s flip hairdo, stands in the west Texas town of Lamesa.

This region of Texas is not the most active when it comes to tornadoes, but that didn't stop the town from naming the local high school sports team the Golden Tornadoes (they play in the Golden tornado Stadium). The Uniroyal gal is outfitted as a Lamesa Golden Tornadoes cheerleader, complete with a two-fisted cartoon twister on her chest.

She normally faces east on the sidewalk against the brick front of the Franklin and Son Tire Shop building, so morning light is most flattering.
