Field review by the editors.

Pocatello, Idaho

Type: Classic/Cowboy (22 ft. tall)

World's Largest Janitor.

Arm position: Standard

Accessories: Mop or other cleaning implement

Nickname: Big Don

The visionaries at Don Aslett's Museum of Clean converted a cowboy Muffler Man into America's Largest Janitor in early 2017. Until 2016, it was a well-kept cowboy Muffler Man in front of the Fort Rockvale Casino.

Named "Big Don" (after Museum of Clean founder Don Aslett), the cowboy has been painted in white work attire. According to Museum Director Brad Kisling, "Our plan is to have him hold something different every month. This first month his weapon of cleaning choice is the venerable mop."

History

The Muffler Man stood for decades in Nampa, Idaho, in front of a gas station and car wash on 11th Avenue. He wore a Stetson Hat and carried a rifle. At some point in the late 1990s-early 2000s, the figure was reported moved to Bridger, Montana, and by 2003 he stood sentinel outside the Fort Rockvale Restaurant, Lounge, and Casino in Rockvale, MT. The cowboy's rifle used to feature a sniper scope, but in later years his marksmanship improved to the point where he no longer needed it. In Nov. 2016 the figure was sold and moved to Don Aslett's Museum of Clean in Pocatello, Idaho, where it was converted to the World's Largest Janitor.
