USA Titan Fireworks Rocket
Pioneer, Tennessee
This ballistic billboard does not quite equal the size of its nuclear namesake, but it is big enough to compare favorably in size to a German V-2. It once lured explosive-minded drivers off of I-75 to a fireworks store, along with several undersized pink elephants, a few disturbing 2-D clowns painted on plywood, a small castle, and an apparently abandoned ferris wheel that may have been busier in more frolicsome times.
In 2014 a fire -- remember that this was a fireworks business -- destroyed the store and everything that wasn't metal. The rocket, Ferris wheel, and castle remain, although they are charred and rusting into hulks.
