The Big Possum.

Big Possum

Field review by the editors.

Albany, Oregon

Standing ten feet tall, a friendly-looking possum sits on its haunches, holding a spray painting gun, in front of Possum Auto Body. Every weekday morning the possum is wheeled out on castors to sit in the parking lot beneath a tree, which is draped with three hefty baby possums. Because of its sheltered existence off-hours, and because it's owned by people who know how to make big things -- like cars -- look nice, the possum is kept in excellent repair.

The possum was built of spray foam by local businessman Steve Fletcher, who lived nearby in a house topped with a spray foam volcano.
