Lumpy Dowser Statue

Field review by the editors.

Waterville, Washington

The ancient art of dowsing apparently played some roll in finding the water that helped create Waterville.

Outside the Douglas County Museum stands an unusual statue of a man searching for water with a forked stick. The life-sized bronze, a bit of a caricature, was created by sculptor Richard Beyer.
