The 30-foot-long "Security Lizard" was welded from old chrome bumpers, traffic signals, and license plates by artist Paul Eppling (1949-2016). Its long tongue is pulling down a giant fly. The sculpture is on the roof of the City of St. Petersburg Fleet Management building, visible from Interstate 275.

Directions:: East side I-275 downtown, but you'll get a better view if you exit the freeway and drive to 7th Ave. N., then drive west, past the trailer park, across the train tracks, until it dead-ends at I-275. (Inside a city maintenance yard, so access may be restricted.) Roof of last building on left, on the southwest corner of St. Peterburg City Vehicle Motor Pool.
