Hemingway's Marlin and Other Oddities
Hinckley, Maine
A cavalcade of rocks and dead animals -- birds, fish, mammals, insects -- highlight the natural history collection of George W. Hinckley. Most of the displays are a century old and look it, which is part of the museum's charm. Among the star exhibits are an extinct Passenger Pigeon, a claw from a 33 pound lobster, a trophy marlin caught by Earnest Hemingway, and one of the last caribou bagged in Maine.
