North Carolina Military History Museum

Field review by the editors.

Kure Beach, North Carolina

A couple of tanks and a Vietnam-era Huey helicopter are parked in the grass outside of this small museum, which displays old military weaponry and donated gear used by soldiers from North Carolina. One of the outdoor tanks is a Russian T-55 captured during Operation Desert Storm.

The interior exhibits mix conflicts of the 20th and 21st century; items are labeled.
