Harry Truman Birthplace

Lamar, Missouri

The future President of the United States was born here in 1884 and lived in Lamar for less than a year before his family moved to a farm near Kansas City. It's just a tiny frame house, saved from decay in the late 1950s and turned into a state (but not federal) historic site.
