Truman's Little White House
Key West, Florida
The Little White House is where Harry Truman would stay when he wanted to get away from Washington, DC, usually every Spring and Fall. He spent 175 days here during his Presidency and reportedly enjoyed every minute of it. There's a life-size sand sculpture of Truman in the backyard, sitting in a comfortable chair wearing a pith helmet and a Hawaiian shirt, which is how he liked to conduct Presidential business when he was in Key West.
