Where Hinckley Shot Reagan

Field review by the editors.

Washington, DC

Reagan was leaving the Washington Hilton on March 30, 1981, when John Hinckley Jr. sprayed his entourage with pistol fire, puncturing the President with a bullet. There's now a historical marker, and you can stand on the spot where the limo was parked (and Reagan was shot).

The VIP door that Reagan exited has been enclosed (thwarting reenactors) but everything else looks exactly the same.
