Saloon Shrine to the JFK Assassination
Handley, Texas
This bar is less than a mile from the grave of Lee Harvey Oswald, whose nickname was "Ozzie Rabbit" when he was a Marine. Its interior is decorated with iconic images from the Kennedy assassination, including the famous photograph of Jack Ruby shooting Oswald two days afterward. Its logo is a crude sketch of Oswald's head wearing bunny ears.
You know that a lot of time has passed from a national calamity when it can become the theme of a bar and no one gets especially upset.
