Blade Runner Movie Location
Los Angeles, California
Fans of the 1982 film Blade Runner steer their floaty steam sedans towards the Bradbury Building, a vintage 1893 structure that was caving in on itself when director Ridley Scott shot his sci-fi dystopia there in the early 1980s.
In the movie, the Bradley served as the home of replicant tinkerer J. F. Sebastian (the entrance columns in the film were set decoration). The decaying rooms and rooftop were the site of the climactic tussle between the replicant Batty and Harrison Ford/Deckard. After decades of increasing appreciation and analysis of Blade Runner, we all now know that Deckard himself was a replicant. Damn, I'm a replicant....
The Bradbury Building has since been renovated to accommodate spiffy offices, but the unique central atrium and first landing are open to the public.
